Unfortunately, there is no way for the credit union to control fraudulent emails that are sent to members/non members and the fraudulent sites that are referenced in the emails. Once discovered, through the vigilant notification efforts of our members and non members, we are able to take action.
Our online services have not been compromised, or in any way made unsafe. Canceling these services will not prevent fraudulent e-mail. These frauds work by sending out thousands of e-mails to random individuals, hoping by chance to find members of the credit union.
You can be assured that Members' Advantage will NEVER contact you and ask for account number, Social Security number, date of birth, address, phone number, credit card number, ATM Pin code, and/or security codes.
If you have responded to this or a similar e-mail and provided any confidential account information, please notify us immediately. We will help you determine the best way to protect your information and the funds in your account. Also, if you receive future email notification requesting sensitive information, please notify the credit union and we will take appropriate measures to counter the fraudulent effort.
